...inspirational

so...

it's been about a week since I last posted on here, and I thought I'd write up another incredibly inspiring post.

You know what I hate? When people come into the place where I work and say they need flowers. That's all well and good of course, but when they're frowning or they just look generally ticked off, that's annoying. I had to put together some roses for this one guy and he didn't smile once while I was wrapping them up. I was so put off that I couldn't even bring up the weather or anything.

Besides political problems, wars, crime, etc., people shouldn't be so miserable in Canada. We've got too much to be miserable about anything. Especially when they're buying flowers.

if i went to your work, id say 'i need flowers' just to start out my order. hehe. well actually, id probably go something more like: woah! hey elle belle! i forgot you worked here!;)
thats horrible about the man-without-a-smile and the roses. i wonder if he was buying them out of obligation. the whole no smiling thing defeats the whole purpose.

totally! and he was even frowning before i charged him seventy bucks! but hey, it was fifty long-stemmed red roses, and they were stripped and arranged. To think our prices are wayyy cheaper than regular florists!
you should drop in some saturday!

perhaps he was going to a funeral, or visiting someone in the hospital.

people always have SOME reason for acting the way they do . . like andy pointed out, they could be for a 'non-smiling' occassion.

no...he was going to be giving them to someone. for both funerals and hospital visits people buy carnations..not fifty red roses. that's romance stuff. but i don't know just who would accept roses from that guy

i find i always look unhappy in public. or at least... well i notice that when i'm around my mother, who is always really happy talking to all the strangers, which drives me up the wall!

but i can see where you're coming from... especially when you're working... i like to think that if a guy comes in to get me flowers that he'd be smiling while he did it.

haha, i love how we all, myself included, broke down perhaps the biggest part of ones life story, based on one incident

maybe he was sad because hes trying to win back his true love with romance... hence the roses... but he feels lost and hopeless:(

now i feel sad for him...

wow. what Jo said is probably right. I feel sad too. Trying to win back your true love must be extremely difficult
